PS Vita News: The latest Inside PS Vita video proves that Sony's new portable is planning to do more than just bring handheld gaming online.

The PS Vita will have extensive social networking features, and I'm not just talking about checking Facebook. Through 3G and WiFi, your Vita will connect to other Vitas, and to developers, who can push new content and offers for their games directly to your handheld.

Titles with strong online communities will benefit big time from this. I'm thinking of Little Big Planet, with all its user made content, and Wipeout 2048, which should have a big online racing scene. And even when you're not racing friends in multiplayer, you'll be able to see their best lap times, and they'll know about it the second you beat them.

A game that I'm really curious about is Hustle Kings. A pool shooting sim with a Words with Friends-style, turn-based multiplayer, it could be a real social gaming success story. For all the info, check out the Inside PS Vita: Social Connectivity video below:

Thinking about buying a PS Vita when it launches in the U.S. on February 22? Why not peruse our PS Vita Launch Title Preview and let us know which game you'll be taking online? Leave us a comment on Facebook or tweet us on Twitter.
