The Sims 4 Release Date News: The Sims 4 2014 release date means it is almost time to revisit your Simlish dictionary.

The Sims 4 will be coming to PC and Mac in 2014 according to EA and Maxis. In a statement released on May 6, the two companies revealed what The Sims 4 is all about. The Sims 4 celebrates the heart and soul of the Sims themselves, giving players a deeper connection with the most expressive, surprising and charming Sims ever in this single-player offline experience.

The last part of that sentence is going to be key for a lot of players, especially after the online only fiasco that Maxis went through with the recently released Sim City title. I would be interested to know if they had always planned for The Sims 4 to be an offline title or if they wanted it to be online and then thought better of it after the troubles Sim City went through. The Sims 4 encourages players to personalize their world with new and intuitive tools while offering them the ability to effortlessly share their creativity with friends and fans.

The Sims is one of the most popular simulation franchises around with more than 150 million copies sold worldwide. The Sims franchise is feuled by the passion and creativity of its millions of fans around the world. Unfortunately that is all we know about The Sims 4 right now.
