Thief Xbox One News: Square Enix and Eidos-Montreal are making a new Thief video game, and it’s indeed coming to the PS4, PC, now Xbox One.

Thief for Xbox One

Thief is coming to Xbox One, announced Square Enix and Eidos-Montreal this week. Thief is returning after an extended absence with a reinvention of a franchise that helped define an entire genre of games.

“The team at Eidos-Montreal is thrilled to confirm that Thief is coming to Xbox One,” said Eidos-Montreal General Manager Stephane D’Astous.

“The next generation of home consoles allow us to create the best and the most immersive Thief game ever.”

D’Astous use of the next-generation refers to Xbox One as well as PS4 and PC, as Thief is also launching for Sony’s upcoming console and the computer.

More Thief stealing at E3 2013

Although a stealth-focused game, the new Thief game should come into focus next month in Los Angeles, where Square-Enix will be showing it off at E3 2013.

“The feedback we have received so far is simply amazing,” said D’Astous. “We can’t wait to show more of Thief at E3 this year.”

With Thief officially confirmed for Xbox One, does that switch which console you’ll be buying the game on? Let us know while we wait for a Thief demo at E3 2013.
