Nintendo Direct E3 2013 News: Find out what Nintendo has in store for fans with their E3 2013 Nintendo Direct video on June 11.

Nintendo E3 2013 press conference direct video

Nintendo’s E3 2013 Nintendo Direct video will arrive on June 11 at 7 a.m., pacific time. It was revealed a while ago that while Nintendo will still be at E3 this year, they won’t be having a press conference. In lieu of the annual press conference there is going to be a Nintendo Direct video that will showcase upcoming Wii U and Nintendo 3DS games.

In the past these Nintendo Direct videos have been used to get fans excited about upcoming releases. The April Nintendo Direct video had a bunch of great news for Nintendo fans such as Earthbound finally coming to North America on the Wii U virtual console and the long awaited sequel to The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. It has become a showcase for Nintendo to show fans what is coming up in the near future as well as how they are progressing on projects that are a little farther away.

In the past Nintendo has promised that they will show off the new 3D Mario game at E3 along with the newest entry in the Mario Kart series. Rumors have also been floating around that we will get our first look at the new Super Smash Bros title that is being jointly developed by Nintendo and Namco Bandai. Later this year the Wind Waker HD remake will also be hitting the Wii U and while other titles such as Bayonetta 2 don’t have a firm release date yet, it seems likely that they would be showcased during this special E3 Nintendo Direct. As far as 3DS is concerned it seems reasonable to expect that we will get more details on the A Link to the Past sequel in addition to the new Pokemon game coming, Pokemon X and Pokemon Y, and perhaps games we know nothing about.

In addition to Nintendo’s E3 Nintendo Direct on June 11, Nintendo recently revealed that some of the titles that will be on the E3 show floor in Los Angeles will also be in Best Buy stores during that week so that those who can’t attend E3 in person can have a chance to experience upcoming titles for the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.

“In the past, we’ve focused the E3 hands-on experience on those attending the event. But this year, we’re making E3 for the people,” said Reggie Fils-Aime, president of Nintendo of America, in the May Nintendo Direct video.

Unfortunately further details have not been revealed at this point. The Best Buy stores that will be participating in this program is still not known and neither is what titles will be hitting these stores. What Wii U and/or Nintendo 3DS title(s) do you want to see in Best Buy during E3 week?
