Black Friday News: The new Skylanders game is just $50 at GameStop, giving Black Friday deal seekers a $15 discount on the InterAction figure video game.

Skylanders Swap Force Black Friday 2013 sale

Every kid wants Skylanders Swap Force this holiday season, and thankfully for parents it’s a little cheaper at $49.99 through GameStop this Black Friday.

The Skylanders Swap Force Starter Pack was retailing for $74.99 when it first came out, but the video game retailer has discounted all versions. This includes Swap Force for Xbox 360, Wii U, Nintendo 3DS, PS3 and even the newer consoles, Xbox One and PS4.

The Activision game comes three Skylanders figures, for example, Blast Zone, Wash Buckler, and Ninja Stealth Elf. It also includes the essential Portal of Power, the video game of course, and a character collector’s post, three sticker sheets with secret codes and three trading cards.

Amazon mirrors this Black Friday Deal

Also getting in on the Skylanders Swap Force sale is Amazon, which is retailing the game for the same $50 price. However, it should be noted that this isn’t the official MSRP, as places like Target and Toys R Us are still carrying the higher $74.99 price tag.

Likewise, the game set is $75 to $100 at Walmart, which bundles it with extra Skylanders toys. In other words, careful shopping when it comes to Swap Force this Black Friday.

Besides Skylanders Swap Force, the kid-friendly Activision video game series has had two other major games: Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure and Skylanders Giants in previous years that can be had for deeply discounted prices due to their age. Most kids won’t know the difference.
