iPad deals are few and far between, but Walmart has an iPad 2 deal that takes $50 off the pricey Apple gadget. It ends up being $389 when it normally costs $349, and it comes with a Bluetooth speaker box accessory to boot.

Though this is the older tablet, people are still buying it because of its affordability vs iPad Air. In fact, this iPad 2 16GB deal has made it one of Walmart’s best selling tech gifts for the holiday season.

That’s no surprise. The iPad 2 specs are still competitive. It has a 9.7-inch screen, runs almost all of the same apps from the App Store and uses a nifty Smart Cover accessory just like the new iPad Air.

Interestingly, the iPad 4 32GB is still available through Walmart at a discount rate of $499. This storage size with a Retina display was retailing for $599 a few months ago. so that’s a savings of $100 for the iPad 4 even though the 16GB is also $499. Buy it while you can.

If you’re looking to pony up an extra $110, the iPad Air is also available through Amazon and Best Buy, we found. However, you won’t find a deal on Apple’s latest tablet anymore. A few could be had during the Black Friday and Cyber Monday extended weekend sales, but those discounts have vanished into thin “air” if you will.
