News: Nintendo has revealed a sales promotion for the month of March where you can get their newest Pokemon title for free.

Pokemon X/Y

The 3DS is doing amazingly well for Nintendo and they have just revealed some extra incentive for you to pick one up throughout the month of March. Beginning on March 1, people who register a Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo 3DS XL or Nintendo 2DS system, as well as one of six select Nintendo 3DS games via Club Nintendo, will receive a free code to download either Pokemon X or Pokemon Y. The six games that are participating in this promotion include the following:

  • Mario Kart 7

  • Super Mario 3D Land

  • Animal Crossing: New Leaf

  • Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D

  • LEGO City Undercover: The Chase Begins

  • Yoshi’s New Island

  • The system and the game must be registered between March 1 and March 31 to take advantage of the promotion. Download codes for Pokemon X and Pokemon Y must be redeemed by May 31, 2014. Theoretically speaking, if you already own a 3DS and any of these games you can probably still take advantage of this deal as long as you haven’t registered them with Club Nintendo yet. What do you think? If you don’t already own a 3DS, does this entice you to pick one up in the month of March?
