News: Activision Publishing is hosting the Call of Duty Championships in London this weekend with the top teams heading to the finals in the US in March.

Call of Duty Ghosts

The best Call of Duty players in Europe are heading to London this weekend to participate in the Call of Duty: Ghosts European Championships. 26 teams from the UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Sweden and the rest of Europe will go head-to-head for a chance to represent their country at the Call of Duty Championship, presented by Xbox being held from March 28 through March 30 in Los Angeles for a share of the tournament’s one million total prize purse.

Hosted by Activision Publishing in partnership with Gfinity, the Call of Duty European Championships will take place from March 1st to March 2nd in one of England’s most iconic sporting venues, Twickenham Stadium, where teams will compete for a €15,000 prize pot in the Twickenham Live Room. The top eight teams will then qualify for the global Call of Duty Championship, presented by Xbox – the first competitive prize tournament to be held on Xbox One – at the end of March in Los Angeles.

Over the last month, more than 500 teams across Europe competed for a spot in London this weekend. Eight UK teams qualified for the Call of Duty European Championships and will face-off against each other, with the top four teams heading to California for the global Call of Duty Championship, presented by Xbox.
