Some new games have hit the Virtual Console on both the Wii U and 3DS along with a big sale on Ubisoft games. The Wii U Virtual Console now has Dr. Mario available for those gamers feeling under the weather. The Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console now has Clu Clu Land for those gamers who want to play another classic title on their 3DS. In addition to that, Ubisoft is having a limited-time sale on Wii U and 3DS games with sales up to 50% off.
In Dr. Mario you fight bodies of nasty viruses with multi-colored vitamins, eliminating those germs faster than they can multiply. Rotate the vitamins as they drop, and gain a higher score by aligning multiples of the same color. Clear all of the viruses to move on to the next round. But watch out as the vitamins start dropping at a faster rate. Not enough of a challenge? Try competing against a buddy and prove that you’re just what the doctor prescribed. Dr. Mario is available for $4.99 on the Wii U Virtual Console and can be played on the GamePad.
In Clu Clu Land you’ll have to take a deep breath and venture through the mazes of the underwater kingdom of Clu Clu Land. The greedy Sea Urchins have stolen all of Clu Clu Land’s gold bars and buried them in a series of mazes. As Bubbles, a brave bubble fish, you’ll set out to uncover all of the gold bars in each maze. But you’ll have to be careful: Sea Urchins will relentlessly pursue Bubbles, and there are also dangerous black holes that must be avoided. Bubbles isn’t defenseless, though, as she has the ability to stun Sea Urchins with sound waves and quickly change direction using posts scattered throughout the stages. Not only that, but the locations of the gold bars in each maze form the outline of another object - so once you know the object, you’re well on your way to finding the gold. With 20 stages to complete and increasingly complex conditions (like having to pass over the gold bars twice to uncover them), you might just want to bring a friend for help. Clu Clu Land is $4.99 on the Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console.
