News: Microsoft reveals that Xbox One users will get an updated Youtube app tomorrow that works with your Game DVR.

Xbox One Youtube App

The Youtube app is getting a big update tomorrow on Xbox One. Game DVR and Upload are among some of the most popular apps on Xbox One and tomorrow’s update will allow the Youtube app to integrate with the Game DVR, making it easier to capture and share game clips with world.

With this new update you can now use Game DVR (“Xbox, Record That”) to capture your epic gaming moments, edit them in Upload Studio and, with the push of a button inside the Youtube app, share your videos instantly to Youtube. This new experience also allows you to watch Youtube videos in Snap Mode, earn media achievements, and adds Youtube channels to OneGuide for instant access to Youtube videos right next to your favorite TV listings or App Channels.

If you don’t have an Xbox One yet Microsoft has also revealed that Xbox 360 will be getting the GoPro channel tomorrow as well. With the new GoPro app you can stream and curate GoPro video content from your tv and to kick off their launch, GoPro is offering two exclusive videos that the Xbox community will get one week before they’re available elsewhere. The first is an amazing basketball trick shot that involves a couple basketballs, a car and a GoPro camera. The second exclusive video is an extreme snowmobile jump that will tie your stomach in knots.

“The GoPro Channel app will bring the best of GoPro originally-produced and user-generated content into the homes of millions of Xbox Live Gold customers,” said Adam Dornbusch, Head of Content Distribution at GoPro. “We’re excited to launch with exclusive content for early adopters of the app and stoke out the Xbox 360 community with hours of engaging and inspiring GoPro videos through the Channel.”

You will be able to browse and search through categories such as sports, adventure and athletes. You can watch videos individually or back-to-back within a category. Xbox Live Gold members will be also be able to purchase GoPro cameras and accessories directly through the app and orders in the U.S. will be fulfilled by the Microsoft online store. GoPro will release on the Xbox One later this summer.

What do you think about these two new updates? Will you use the updated Youtube app? Will you dive in to the GoPro experience? Let us know in the comments below.
