News: Sony’s US PlayStation Store leaked an image advertising that you could place your pre-order for The Last of Us on PS4.
The Last of Us is officially heading to the PS4 if a leak on the PlayStation Store is to be believed. While browsing the PS Store an intriguing ad (seen above - bigger version of image) was shown advertising the PS4 version of The Last of Us. Up until now Sony has officially denied that The Last of Us would be coming to the PS4, however, recently the rumors began picking up steam and it seemed more likely that it would happen sooner or later. When I clicked on the ad I received a “Page Not Found” error but, judging by the banner, it appears that the Last of US on PS4 will be available as a digital title. There is no word yet on whether it will see a retail release but I can’t imagine Sony not having one of their most popular games of the past year sitting on store shelves.
If you have somehow gone this long without knowing much about The Last of Us the premise is below:
“The Last of Us is a genre-defining experience that blends survival and action elements to tell a character driven story about a population decimated by a modern plague. Abandoned cities are being reclaimed by nature and the remaining survivors are killing each other for food, weapons and whatever they can get their hands on. Joel, a ruthless survivor, and Ellie, a brave young teenage girl who is wise beyond her years, must work together to survive their journey across what remains of the United States.”
We here at Gaming Target fell in love with Naughty Dog’s latest adventure as you can see by checking out our The Last of Us review for the PS3 version. It was not only one of our favorites of 2013 but of the entire PS3 generation itself.
Will you buy The Last of Us on PS4? If so, would you buy it digitally or go for the physical retail version (assuming a retail version will be released). Tell us what you think below.
