News: Ubisoft reveals what their top selling franchises are and some of them might be a surprise.

Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag

Some “Facts & Figures” have been released by Ubisoft and they showcase what is Ubisoft’s most popular title and it isn’t even close. Going by the numbers that Ubisoft has provided, Assassin’s Creed is by far Ubisoft’s most popular franchise, having sold over 73 million units since the franchise was first introduced back in 2007. The current titles in the franchise are Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag along with Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD that was just released on XBLA, PSN and PC a few months back. Later on this year there is rumored to be two Assassin’s Creed titles coming out with one of them being built for the Xbox One and PS4 (and presumably PC) and the other title being on the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. The rumored titles for those games are “Assassin’s Creed Unity” and “Assassin’s Creed Comet” respectively although I doubt those will be the final names. Other popular titles in the Ubisoft stable include:

  • Assassin’s Creed - 73 million

  • Just Dance - 48 million

  • Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell - 30 million

  • Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six - 26 million

  • Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon - 25 million

  • Rayman - 25 million

  • Petz - 24 million

  • Imagine - 21 million

  • Prince of Persia - 20 million

  • Driver - 19 million

  • Far Cry - 18 million

  • Rayman Raving Rabbids - 14 million

  • The Settlers - 10 million

  • The Experience - 9 million

  • Anno - 5 million

  • Your Shape - 3 million

  • What do you think about these numbers? Are you surprised by any of them? Let us know below.
