News: The first games in the Games with Gold program for Xbox One are now available to download for Xbox Live Gold members.

Games With Gold

Microsoft recently revealed that they will be including Xbox One games in the “Games with Gold” program and the June games are now available for free. You can now go on to your Xbox One (or the Xbox website) and “buy” Halo: Spartan Assault as well as Max: The Curse of Brotherhood for free. You can also purchase Crimson Dragon for 50% off if you have been waiting for that to go on sale.

For those who might not be familiar with these games, a brief synopsis is below:

Halo: Spartan Assault - Set between the events of Halo 3 and Halo 4, Halo: Spartan Assault is the new chapter of the award-winning Halo universe that explores the first missions of the Spartan Ops program and dives deeper into the backstory of Human-Covenant wars. Players will control Commander Sarah Palmer or Spartan Davis stationed aboard the UNSC Infinity as they fight never-before-seen battles against Covenant forces. With rich storytelling, intuitive controls, and best-in-class action, audio and graphics, Halo: Spartan Assault brings the epic scale and action of the Halo universe to mobile devices through unrivaled action and intensity.

Max: The Curse of Brotherhood - Max: The Curse of Brotherhood mixes traditional Scandinavian storytelling with an inventive and colorful 2.5D platformer, combining classic jump and run gameplay with smart and innovative puzzles. By using the forces of nature, Max can create impressive pillars of earth, powerful streams of water and other elements with his magic marker Max. He must use them to travel through the elaborate cave systems, forests and gloomy castles of Anotherland to save his brother.

When the June system update is rolled out soon, you’ll find a new hub in Xbox One for exploring all of the great benefits available to Xbox Live Gold members, including Games with Gold and Deals with Gold. Take a look at a trailer for each game and tell us what you think. What are the next Xbox One games you want to see in the Games with Gold program?
