News: Sony and Housemarque have revealed that the next iteration of the popular Super Stardust franchise is hitting the PS4 in early 2015.

”Super

Super Stardust Ultra is coming to the PS4 in early 2015 and will be available for $12.99. Housemarque announced this earlier today on the PlayStation Blog and it is certainly welcome news for those who enjoyed the Stardust titles on the PS3 and PS Vita, as well as those who enjoy the PS4 launch title, Resogun.

Super Stardust Ultra has an array of new planets, visual enhancements and includes at least nine different game modes. This includes brand new modes as well as established favorites from the franchise. They have also added the feature that will allow you to directly send and receive challenges from your friends or just compare scores the old fashioned way on a leaderboard.

Another great feature will be that you are able to compete against friends in 2-4 players split-screen battles or team up in co-op mode. No word yet on whether you can do co-op over PSN with friends but that would be another amazing feature. Can you imagine playing Stardust with a friend online? It would be fantastic.

There aren’t a whole lot of details right now but what do you think about Super Stardust Ultra coming to the PS4? Will you buy it as soon as it comes out? Do you still play Stardust on the PS3 and/or the PS Vita?
