News: Microsoft will release a 1TB sku for the Xbox One next week in the U.S. and later in the month in other select markets.

Microsoft has revealed that there is a new Xbox sku coming out with a 1tb hard drive. This new console comes with a matte finish and more storage for your games and media. For those who don’t own an Xbox One yet, it also supports external hard drives so you can have as much memory as you want. This new console also comes with the newly redesigned Xbox One wireless controller that now comes with a 3.5mm stereo headset jack, and in select regions for a limited time, Halo: The Master Chief Collection.

These new Xbox One consoles will begin shipping to retailers starting June 16 in the United States as well as later in the month for select markets. This new bundle will be available for $399. The older bundles that contain the 500gb hard drive that cost $349 will remain at that price on a permanent basis in the United States and select regions.

Going back to the new Xbox One controller, you will have the option to adjust headset volume, monitor your mic as well as your voice and game audio balance through the Settings menu on your Xbox One. Microsoft has stated that they have also improved the quality of audio that will be coming through the controller, based on fan feedback. It should be noted that all existing accessories will work with the updated controller, including the Stereo Headset Adapter. Microsoft has also “fine tuned” the bumpers on the controller for more consistent performance anywhere along the full surface of the bumper. They have also enable wireless firmware updates on these new controllers which means you will no longer have to connect your controller to your Xbox One via a USB cable when a new update is released. This new controller comes with the new Xbox One bundle but you will also be able to buy it separately in black as well as a new camouflage design in silver and black with the Xbox One Special Edition Covert Forces wireless controller.

Microsoft has also revealed that beginning this fall, you will be able to purchase the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows to enjoy the freedom and convenience of the wireless controller on Windows 10 PCs, laptops and tablets. With the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows, you’ll simply plug the Adapter into the USB 2.0 or 3.0 port of your Windows 10 PC and bind the Adapter to your Wireless Controller to enable the same gaming experience you’re used to on Xbox One, including in-game chat and high-quality stereo audio. The Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows will be available for $24.99 or bundled with an Xbox One Wireless Controller for $79.95 and sold in most markets where Xbox accessories are currently available.
