News: If you are a member of EA Access and want to turn off the auto renew option, Gaming Target has the steps you need to do that.

EA Access has been around for a little under a year. What this means is that those of us who joined the service on day one (or earlier if you were a beta tester) are coming up on the time where we need to renew our annual membership. If you have your EA Access membership set to auto-renew then you don’t have to do anything. If you don’t have it set to auto-renew though then you will need to do it manually and Microsoft has given you a new option on how to do so. Now available on the Microsoft store, you can purchase a download code for a year of EA Access. What this means is that you should no longer have to put your EA Access membership on a credit card. Much like buying Xbox Live credit in your favorite games store, you can now buy a code off of the Microsoft store and redeem it on Xbox Live.

If you have your membership set on auto-renew (or aren’t sure) and you want to change it but don’t know how, Gaming Target has you covered. It is really easy to do through xbox.com, where you can select your membership settings with a couple clicks of the mouse. To change the setting for your EA Access membership, perform the following steps:

1) Go to your account page on xbox.com.

2) On the right side of the screen under the Subscriptions section, click on “See all subscriptions.”

3) If prompted to do so, log in to your profile.

4) You should now see the EA Access section. It will tell you the date your EA Access subscription will expire. If you have auto-renew turned off you will see the option, “Keep playing by auto renewing your membership." If it says anything else then the auto-renew option is turned on and all you have to do is click the link under the expiration date to turn the auto-renew feature off and confirm it.

EA Access launched in August of 2014 with four games available to download for free from their vault. Titanfall was just added to the vault a few weeks ago during E3 and at some point during the month of August, Dragon Age: Inquisition will be added as well. That will make 14 free games available in the vault adding even more value to the $30 annual membership fee. EA Access also allows you to have five days early access on new releases (such as Star Wars: Battlefront) to see whether you like the game before you buy it. You can earn achievements during that time and if you choose to purchase the digital version of the game you will receive 10% off the price. You also receive 10% off the price for any DLC that EA releases.

Have you subscribed to EA Access? If not, why haven’t you done so? If you have, will you renew your membership for another year? Tell us what you think below.
