Call of Duty: Black Ops III Black Market Update Released by Activision

News: An update to the Black Market in the game is now available along with a new form of virtual currency in Black Ops III.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III has been out a little over a month. Earlier today Activision revealed that that they have released a “Black Market Update” trailer. The Black Market now has new items available to you including three new melee weapons, new taunts, new sets of bodies and head variants for each Specialist and more. More specifically, the new melee weapons will include:

the Butterfly Knife

Wrench

Brass Knuckles

Each of these will essentially function like the combat weapon and may be equipped as your secondary weapon. They will offer their own look and feel however. The entire range of the new items available can be earned by playing the game and trading the Cryptokeys you earn for Supply Drops in the Black Market. If you want to secure additional Supply Drops in multiplayer or Vials of Liquid Divinium in zombies there is also something new called “Call of Duty points.” This is a brand new and optional virtual currency that will allow you to purchase Rare Supply Drops in Black Ops III. If you happen to be a Zombies fan then this new currency can also be used to purchase Vials of Liquid Divinium. These are otherwise earned by playing Shadows of Evil or The Giant Bonus Map.

To help celebrate this news Activision and Treyarch also revealed that for a limited time if you log in and play an online game on Xbox One, PS4 or PC that you will receive a one time gift of 200 Call of Duty points to use in Black Ops III. This should give you a taste of what the new currency is like and how you can use it.
