News: One of Square Enix’s 2017 titles is now available to try out on PlayStation 4 over the Christmas break.

”Nier:

Nier: Automata is set to be released on the PlayStation 4 in March but you can get an early look right now with the demo that was just released on the PlayStation Store. This demo transports players to an abandoned factory, following Android 2B’s mission to destroy a massive enemy weapon that lies within.

Additionally, a new trailer was released, showing off the upcoming Final Fantasy XV and Dragon Quest collaborations in which Android 2B will be able to equip Noctis’s signature weapon, the “Engine Blade” from Final Fantasy XV and the “Cypress Stick” from the Dragon Quest series.

If you aren’t familiar with Nier: Automata, it is the follow up to the 2010 release, Nier. Nier: Automata tells the story of Androids 2B, 9S and A2 and their battle to reclaim a machine-driven dystopia overrun by powerful weapons known as machine lifeforms. Nier: Automata is slated to be released on March 7, 2017 for the PS4 and at some point in early 2017 on Steam. There will be the standard edition for $59.99 as well as the “Black Box Edition” that is available for pre-order exclusively through the Square Enix Online Store for $189.99.

Take a look at the new trailer below and tell us what you think. Are you going to download the demo? Do you plan on picking up Nier: Automata when it is released next year?
