News: If you want to potentially get an early look at the big big PS4 firmware update then you might be in luck.
Sony’s next big firmware update for the PlayStation 4 is on the way and they now need PlayStation fans to help beta test some of the new features. Beginning today you can sign up for this opportunity to get an advance look at what Sony has in store for everyone once this new firmware becomes publicly available. It should be noted that just because you apply doesn’t mean you will get in. Additionally you must be 18 years old or order to participate.
PlayStation fans that were beta testers for the 4.0 firmware update got to see folders, the revised Quick Menu and more before anyone else. Sony isn’t really saying what they are including in their next big update but it will probably arrive sooner rather than later now that they are opening it up to external testers. You can register to be a beta tester anytime between today and the start of the beta in February.
If you are selected to be part of the beta test then you will receive an email with instructions on what to do next and how to download the beta version of the new software. In order to do this you will need a PS4 with an internet connection and access to a Master Account. You can also roll back to your previous firmware at anytime.
