News: Some new titles can now be played on your Xbox One that will allow you to enjoy some retro gaming, return to Stillwater or try to survive on your own.
Microsoft has revealed that three new games have been added to the Xbox One backwards compatibility library. These three games include Saints Row: The Third, Super Contra and Slender: The Arrival. In case you aren’t familiar with these titles, the brief premise for each is below.
Saints Row: The Third
Years after taking Stilwater for their own, the Third Street Saints have evolved from street gang to household brand name, with Saints sneakers, Saints energy drinks and Johnny Gat bobble head dolls all available at a store near you. The Saints are kings of Stilwater, but their celebrity status has not gone unnoticed. The Syndicate, a legendary criminal fraternity with pawns in play all over the globe, has turned its eye on the Saints and demands tribute. Refusing to kneel to the Syndicate, you take the fight to a new city, playing out the most outlandish gameplay scenarios ever seen. Strap it on.
Super Contra
Help Lance and Bill stop Red Falcon before they take over the world. Celebrating the 20th anniversary of Contra, this newly updated version of Super Contra features enhanced graphics, HD support, and Co-op multiplayer over Xbox LIVE. The Alien Wars are coming... do you have what it takes to defend earth?
Slender: The Arrival
You're on your own. No one to come for you. No one to help you. No one to hear you scream. Slender: The Arrival is the official video game adaptation of Slender Man, re-created from Mark Hadley's original nerve-shattering sensation. Developed in collaboration with Blue Isle Studios, The Arrival features a brand new storyline, improved visuals, great replay value, and most importantly, survival horror at its best.
Which of these three games are you going to play first? For me personally I am ready to return to Stillwater and revisit the Saints in Saints Row: The Third, especially now that it can use all of the Xbox One features. Which games do you want to see added to backwards compatibility next?
