News: There are two great city-builder titles in a brand new bundle at a reduced rate that you might want to look at.

”Cities:

A new bundle is now available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 featuring both Cities: Skylines and Surviving Mars. Both titles are in the city-building genre but offer very different experiences. Cities: Skylines is more like a spiritual successor to Sim City (although much better in my opinion) while Surviving Mars drops you on Mars can you need to start from scratch to get a colony up and running.

Cities: Skylines features vast backdrops and maps provide players with countless ways to improve and expand their cities, building from humble beginnings up to beautiful, cloud-hugging structures and unique architectural marvels. Some of the game’s features include:

  • Designed to Impress - Massive map sizes and deep, detailed design controls allow players to construct the cities of their dreams, running everything from road building and zoning to public services and taxation – and, yes, public transportation.

  • Policy and Progress - Set a series of civic policies to guide the city’s growth; fine-tune the placement and direction of local districts.

  • Local Beautification - Admire the vastness of your city in a polished visual style and manage a living, breathing city, all the way down to realistic water flow in the irrigation systems.

  • The Sky is Not the Limit - Strive to build up a city towards jaw-dropping endgame “wonders,” and then go beyond what is possible with built-in game modding tools.

  • In Surviving Mars, players will lead a colonization effort on the surface of Mars, from the very first rovers and supply drops to the construction of suitable habitats for brave settlers from Earth. Every colonist will be vital to the mission as the colony struggles to gain a foothold where the environment is hostile and resources are scarce. With each success, however, players will gain the ability to expand further, and even establish a thriving society – and lead a new generation that has never known the Earth.

Some of the features in Surviving Mars include:

  • Build a Sustainable Future on Mars: Building on a planet not fit for human life challenges you to build a smart, functional colony. Planning isn’t about traffic jams; it’s about basic necessities of life. There’s never a good time for your air supply to have a power failure!

  • Individually simulated colonists: Each colonist is a unique individual with problems and strengths that influence other colonists. Things can get “interesting” if your chief scientist develops alcoholism after one too many long nights in the lab. Create societies that value science over everything else, or attempt to engineer utopia among the stars.

  • Exploration of Mars’ secrets: Inspired by the classic sci-fi of Asimov and Clarke, Surviving Mars holds many secrets. During each playthrough, players may encounter one of Mars’ individually crafted mysteries. Will those floating entities bring your colony great fortune, or terrible ruin?

  • Future-ready features: Surviving Mars includes native 4K support on both the Xbox One X and the PlayStation 4 Pro.

  • Full Mod Support: Built-in modding tools allow community creators to truly customize the red planet; day-one mods include a creator-led mission sponsor – The Yogscast!

  • This new bundle is available on the Xbox website for $69.69, with the normal price being $81.99. On PlayStation 4 the bundle costs $69.99. Will you be picking up this bundle? Tell us what you think below.
