Just Cause 4 is approximately six weeks away from release but right now you have the chance to have your weapon be in the game. Both Square Enix and Gamestop are holding the “Rico Weapon Challenge” and the clock is ticking down to when you will be able to enter for a chance to have your weapon put into Just Cause 4, post-launch.

From now until October 31, fans have the chance to enter their weapon designs at www.GameStop.com/JC4 where all entries will be gathered. After that date, Square Enix and Avalanche Studios will review all submissions, and a total of five designs will be chosen as finalists for the contest.

The final five will then be put on display for all fans to see on November 26, where they can then vote for their favorite. Once a winner is chosen, the winning design will be sent to the Avalanche Studios development team for inclusion in Just Cause 4. The lucky winner will receive a custom skinned Just Cause 4 Xbox One X console as well as a Gold Edition copy of the game.

The winning design will be released as a form of free DLC post-launch for anyone who pre-orders the game at GameStop or EB Games (Canada). All other players will be able to purchase the fan-made DLC once it becomes available. Fans can visit www.GameStop.com/JC4 for more information on the contest.

Set in the fictional South American world of Solis, Just Cause 4 takes the series’ incredible destruction and unique physics to a whole new level with the introduction of fully simulated tornadoes and other extreme weather events. Rico Rodriguez returns in Just Cause 4 with his trademark parachute, wingsuit and, of course, his grapple hook, now enhanced with new functionality and fully customizable making it the most powerful and creative tool the player has ever had.

Take a look at a trailer for Just Cause 4 below and tell us what you think. Will you be picking up Just Cause 4 when it launches in December? Are you going to participate in this challenge to try and get your weapon design in the game and win an Xbox One X with a copy of the game?
