Nintendo has revealed what Switch Online members will be receiving this month as far free titles are concerned. Like always they are NES titles and these two titles might be a bit obscure for some. Beginning on August 21 Switch Online members will be able to play Kung-Fu Heroes and Project Doom at no extra charge. For those who might not be familiar with those titles, a brief description is below:
Kung-Fu Heroes
Monsters have taken Princess Min-Min and the 10 treasures of the land, and the people have fallen into sorrow. Only Kung-Fu Masters Jacky and Lee can save the princess and retrieve the treasures. Their journey will take them to eight different castles filled with hosts of traps and obstacles. Use punches and the Miracle Kick to defeat the enemies. You will need quick wits and lightning reflexes to make it to the last castle.
Vice: Project Doom
There exists a group of undercover detectives who dare stand up to the evil in the world... They are known as Vice. Officer Quinn Hart, a member of Vice, is on the case and after the truth. High-speed car chases, action-packed battles employing three types of weapons and a mode with three 3D rail-shooting stages all bring this cyberpunk world to life.
There are currently over 40 NES games that you can play if you subscribe to Nintendo’s online service. Some NES titles have even been enhanced with online features and they can be played anytime and anywhere.
In addition to these NES titles, Switch Online members can download and play Mario Tennis Aces through August 13th for free. This promotion will last until 11:59 p.m. PT on August 20th. During this time you can buy Mario Tennis Aces at a 30% discount to continue the fun when the promotion ends and you can no longer play it for free.
