News: The PS5 is always out of stock, but here are the places to find the next restock.
We've been tracking the PS5 restock at various retailers on this page since September. Yes, that is before the console actually had its launch, but those were for the pre-orders that Sony put out of several different stores, including GameStop, Walmart and others.
Eight months after those first PS5 orders were taken, people are still looking for where to buy PS5. It's not every day that there's a PS5 restock, however, you have to look at retailers on a near daily basis to score a next-gen console. Weekends tend not to have very much PS5 stock.
List of stores that have PS5 in stock randomly
Amazon PS5 Disc | PS5 Digital
Walmart PS5 Disc | PS5 Digital
Sony Direct PS5 Disc | PS5 Digital
Best Buy PS5 Disc | PS5 Digital
Target PS5 Disc | PS5 Digital
GameStop PS5 Disc | PS5 Digital
There are a few other stores that we have seen get a PS5 restock, but they're few and far between. Kohl's, for example, keeps changing its pages, so we can't link you to it. Costco and Sam's Club require membership fees to get it at the normal price.
With the exception of Walmart, no store has routine restock days of the week. It's all pretty random either to confuse resellers and bots or because stores just want to put consoles on sale as soon as they get them.
The prices are $399 for PS5 Digital and $499 PS5 Disc, however, several of the retailers we linked above do bundle games and accessories, driving up the price. GameStop, for example, is notorious for this practice, for better or worse.
Some have speculated that PS5 won't be available to easily purchase in stores until 2022. Given the latest restocks, I feel like that could be a possibility.
