News: The release of the definitive edition of Dying Lights marks the end of a seven-year journey for Techland.

The team at Techland has revealed that a new definitive edition for Dying Light will be released on June 9th. The release of this final definitive edition officially closes seven years of support for a game that really helped put Techland on the map. Of course, Dying Light wasn’t their first game but it has achieved great success over the past years launching a franchise that saw the release of the second iteration earlier this year.

The Dying Light: Definitive Edition will launch tomorrow on June 9th and be available for up to 70% off. The reason Techland gave for this release is so that everything can be included in one package. There have been a lot of patches, updates, and DLC over the past seven years and it is all included in this definitive edition.

Dying Light: Definitive Edition will be available on all platforms as a digital release. The Nintendo Switch version will release at a later date as both a digital and retail release. The Definitive Edition consists of the base game and all 26 DLCs (including skin bundles and expansion packs). It's the best way to experience the amount of content and love they have poured into this game over seven long years.

To thank the community for allowing them to spend all these great years with Dying Light, Techland would like to present everyone with a free piece of DLC - the Harran Tactical Unit Bundle for a limited time— two weeks after the Definitive Edition’s premiere. This offer will be available on Steam, the Epic Games Store, GOG, the PlayStation Store, and the Microsoft Store on Xbox.

If you already own the Platinum Edition of the game, you will be automatically upgraded to Definitive Edition for free. You will be able to enjoy five new bundles at no additional cost.

This release marks an important moment in the history of Dying Light. On the one hand, it’s a nod to seven years of immense love and support for this game; on the other, it’s the grand finale of the adventures in Harran.

Take a look at the trailer below and then tell us what you think. Have you played Dying Light? If not, will you play it now with the Dying Light: Definitive Edition?
