Sword and Fairy: Together Forever Arrives on PlayStation This Summer

News: A new RPG based on Chinese mythology is headed your way on PlayStation platforms in a couple of months.

Independent developer and publisher Eastasiasoft Limited today released a new exploration trailer for the Chinese mythology-based action RPG Sword and Fairy: Together Forever, a brand new standalone entry in the storied franchise. The new trailer showcases the lush environments that players can explore. To celebrate the release of the exploration trailer, eastasiasoft has revealed that Sword and Fairy: Together Forever will release on PS5 and PS4 in North America, Europe, and Australia on August 4th.

A vast and fantastical world awaits players in Sword and Fairy: Together Forever. From flower-covered vistas with waterfalls and rainbows to the hardened majesty of the demon realm, from the comforting countryside to the wide and volatile sea beyond the coast, these wondrous landscapes deserve to be explored to their fullest extent. Players will be able to discover unexpected secrets and use stealth in key locations for the first time in the series’ history, While danger and war may loom over the lands, their storied history and enduring beauty cannot be denied.

With its beginnings in 1995, the Sword and Fairy RPG series has captured the hearts and imagination of Chinese-speaking players for decades. Powered by Unreal Engine 4, Sword and Fairy: Together Forever features intense real-time combat and vast detailed environments to explore, complemented by depth and engaging storytelling that have defined the franchise since its inception. This is a standalone RPG epic that can be enjoyed equally by long-time fans or newcomers without prior knowledge of the series.

Sword and Fairy: Together Forever was originally developed by Softstar Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd. Eastasiasoft Limited will publish digitally in the west. This new console version of the game will feature four exclusive outfits and a weapon appearance not available in the original PC release. US & EU physical editions for PS5 and PS4 are also in the works with more details to be announced soon.

Sword and Fairy: Together Forever not only features the most advanced graphics in series history but also introduces dynamic real-time combat mechanics with total freedom of movement and fluid, screen-filling skill animations. You will be able to switch between playable characters and strategize on the fly. Along the way, you can also meet and care for spirit creatures that will aid in your journey. You will discover lush interconnected environments,be able to equip your party with new skills, play mini-games, and much more as you explore this beautifully crafted action role-playing epic, including exclusive outfits and weapon skins to further enhance the experience.
