Dovetail Games has just released the first developer diary for Train Sim World 3. The newest iteration in the Train Sim World franchise is only a few weeks away and will arrive on both consoles and PC. Beginning on September 6th you will get to experience all of the new content this title has to offer, including a new Training Center.
One of the more important aspects of Train Sim World 3 that will separate it from its predecessors is freedom. You will start at the Training Center where you can become familiar with the controls of a locomotive through a series of tutorials. If you are an experienced player you can also experiment in a sandbox fashion. This Training Center is basically a new route that has been inspired by a real-world test track that is located in Germany. This will give you an area to explore as you wish in the cab of any of the game’s locomotives.
Dovetail Games has said the Training Center is just the beginning of an area that will make sure that future locomotive add-ons are not pinned to set routes as they have been in the past. Additionally, every tutorial, regardless of their location, will be available through the Training Center interface. This will help to make sure that you gain a firm grasp on the different modes of operation.
Once you leave the Training Center, all of the content you have purchased with Train Sim World 2 will be available, in addition to the new routes in Train Sim World 3: Kassel-Wurzburg, Cajon Pass, and the extended Southeastern Highspeed route. If you opt to purchase the Deluxe Edition you will also have the freedom of choosing between steam, diesel, or electric locomotives, with the addition of the popular add-on, Spirt of Steam.
Train Sim World 3 will release for Windows PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, PlayStation, and Xbox consoles on Sept. 6, 2022. The title is available for pre-purchase digitally now on Steam and the Epic Games Store, PlayStation Store, and Microsoft Store with a Deluxe Edition available for £49.99/€59.99/$59.99 and four ‘Starter Packs’ each available for £29.99/€35.99/$39.99. The ‘Deluxe Edition’ can be pre-ordered with a 10% discount and all pre-order purchases will grant a 4-day Early Access pass to the game, as well as a bonus decal pack to use within the livery editor to share on Creators Club, the home of player customization in Train Sim World.
