News: The long wait is almost over for fans as this highly anticipated remaster arrives in exactly three months on consoles and PC.

”Crisis

Another big title that made an appearance today from Square Enix was Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion. This is a remake of Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII that was released exclusively on the PlayStation Portable (PSP). For years fans have wanted Crisis Core on a modern console so that it was more easily accessible and later this year it will finally happen.

The original Crisis Core was a prequel to Final Fantasy VII. Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion is a remaster that follows the story of Soldier 1st Class Zack Fair. He is on a mission to find missing Solider Genesis Rhapsodos, while unraveling the stories of Cloud, Sephiroth, Aerith, Tifa, and more.

This remaster features a complete HD graphics overhaul, a newly arranged soundtrack, and an updated combat system. The story takes place seven years prior to what happens in Final Fantasy VII. Throughout the game, you will learn about some of Shinra’s dark secrets and experiments, and the monsters that are created as a result.

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion will be available on December 13, 2022, on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. Check out the launch date trailer below and then tell us what you think. Did you play the original game? Will you pick up this remaster?
