PSVR 2 News: You can get the PSVR 2 headset on sale at Amazon today for a nice discount.

The Sony PlayStation VR 2 headset has a big discount attached to it, according to a news report from trusted technology publication The Shortcut.

The $200 off PSVR 2 price drop on Amazon brings the PS5 VR headset down to a more reasonable discount price $349.99 on Amazon. Since its launch on February 2, 2023, the PSVR 2 has had an MSRP of $550, more than a PS5 console, and the price, according to many gamers, was seen as steep when there was a lack of quality software at launch.

Since then, Sony hasn't done enough to support the PSVR 2 accessory with more VR games (a few titles come out here and there), but it has dropped the price – at least for now. There's no telling how long Amazon and other US retailers will keep the PSVR 2 deal in stock. The "Limited time deal" flag sits right next to the 349.99 discount price, so it could expire at any time.

What's interesting is that Sony seems to be moving more PSVR 2 headsets as well as PlayStation Portal handhelds. The PlayStation Portal has become the top-selling gaming accessory of 2024. That means a Sony PSP 2 handheld should get the green light in 2025, a few months after the PS5 Pro launch this fall.
