News: Gamers who play Baldur’s Gate 3 on PC now have some new content to utilize while console players will have to wait until October.
Larian Studios has revealed that the latest patch for Baldur’s Gate 3 is now available on PC, with the patch arriving on consoles in October. Today’s new update brings brand new Evil Endings, revamped split screen gameplay, and an official modding toolkit.
Evil Endings: Brand new cinematic endings for your most villainous playthroughs, as well as unique endings if playing an Origin Character.
Mod Manager: Browse, install, and use mods created by the community.
Revamped Split Screen Gameplay: Dynamic split screen is now available for multiplayer. When playing on split screen, each side will merge when you near each other and split back up as you head off on your own adventure.
Following a successful period in Closed Beta, the launch of today’s Modding Toolkit marks a key moment for Baldur’s Gate 3 as the community becomes empowered to unleash their full creativity upon The Sword Coast. Players will now be able to access a range of new mods from within the game, and even try their hands at making some themselves.
Today’s patch also adds improvements to Honour Mode, including new Legendary Actions, as well as numerous bug fixes for Origin Character and Dark Urge playthroughs. There may even be a way for a certain Tiefling bard to join the party…for a time. Just don’t get too attached.
Finally, to celebrate Baldur’s Gate 3’s first anniversary and commemorate all the nat 20s rolled across numerous adventures, the game is now on sale on Steam at its highest ever discount of 20% until September 9th.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is available on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Mac, and PC. The update that arrived today for PC will arrive on consoles sometime in October.
