Maze Mice, the time-freezing, mazerunning bullet heaven roguelite from developer TrampolineTales, developer of Luck be a Landlord with more than 500,000 players on PC and 100,000 on mobile, scurries onto PC and Steam Deck via Steam Early Access on Friday, May 2, 2025. TrampolineTales celebrates this announcement with a $10,000 donation to Indiana 501(c)3 nonprofit The Pipsqueakery, a wildlife and small animal rescue & sanctuary.
Weave through a labyrinthine attic as a tiny mouse on an important mission: survive! Take control of a tricky movement system where time only moves when you move. Outsmart and outrun slumbering felines ready to pounce at a moment’s notice. Sniff out the best paths to gather valuable upgrades and boosts. How long can you last with countless cats on your tail?
Utilize hidden passages, back doors, and tiny spaces only a mouse could squeeze through. Dash towards Dots to gain XP, level, and earn health upgrades, offensive items, and cat-repelling provisions. Scoop up Dots from afar with the Vacuum, don a Tiny Sweater for extra health, wield the mighty cat-defeating power of smooth jazz with the Saxophone, or risk collapsing the Earth into a singularity in the name of mouse safety with the Black Hole.
Survive with fur and whiskers intact, or perish at the paws of sharp-clawed enemies. Unlock new upgrades to discover in future runs, as well as additional furry friends, each with their own unique starting upgrade. Enjoy a retro pixel aesthetic abundant with cozy corners to explore.
“The enthusiastic response from Luck be a Landlord fans following Maze Mice’s reveal has been so reassuring, so I’m happy to announce the Early Access release date,” said Dan DiIorio, lead developer and founder of TrampolineTales. “Having rescued two rabbits of my own, it means so much to be able to give back to The Pipsqueakery with my donation. I want to thank them for all they do to help rodents, rabbits, and other small animals out there! Remember: adopt, don’t shop!”
Maze Mice will be available on PC via Steam Early Access on Friday, May 2, 2025. Languages supported include English, French, Italian, German, Spanish - Spain, Danish, Portuguese - Brazil, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Spanish - Latin America, Traditional Chinese, Portuguese - Portugal, Turkish, Thai, and Arabic.
