Major Legue Gaming co-founder a Cold Pizza contributor: Major Legue Gaming's Sundance DiGiovanni goes for some Cold Pizza over at ESPN
Major League Gaming has announced that company co-founder Sundance DiGiovanni will be appearing regularly on ESPN2's new morning show, Cold Pizza, as its Уgaming correspondent.Ф He will have a regular segment every Thursday, offering game reviews and thoughts on the world of gaming in general.
Major League Gaming is one of two Уpro gamingФ leagues to launch this past summer, and they're currently in the middle of their first УseasonФ -- their first major tournament will be held this weekend in New York City.
УESPN has proven their commitment to providing top-notch gaming coverage,Ф DiGiovanni said. УIt's an honor to be selected as the show's resident gaming expert.Ф
Cold Pizza is ESPN's answer to morning shows like Today and Good Morning America, focusing more on sports than a УtraditionalФ morning show. The program airs live every weekday from 7-9 a.m. EST, and is repeated from 9-11 a.m. EST, with the West Coast audience in mind. The main host of the show is Jay Crawford, a veteran of Tampa Bay area station WFTS. Other show correspondents include Leslie Maxie, a former Olympic hurdler, and Thea Andrews, a veteran of Canadian sports network TSN, who has gained prominence for her role as a seductive reporter on ESPN's Playmakers series.
The show is also notable in that Crawford's co-host is Kit Hoover, who many will recognize for starring in the first season of MTV's Road Rules -- while one might be suspicious that she only got where she is due to her appearance on that show, she does have a degree in journalism from the University of North Carolina. As far as I know, fellow reality TV alum Puck has yet to be offered a position on Cold Pizza (then again, he doesn't have a journalism degree...).
