News: Dance... Dance... Dance... TO THE EXTREME!
Konami has released more details on their newly announced games of fall 2004. Dance Dance Revolution Extreme is Konami's latest game in their popular dancing series. According to Konami DDR Extreme features new innovative gameplay, more licensed songs, more features and more game modes than ever before.
One of those new features is the Mission Mode, which requires players to compete certain dance challenges in one or two player modes. DDR Extreme also expands the Oni Mode that was first seen in DDR MAX. Oni Mode only allows players to make a maximum of four mistakes in a row during theаentire game. Definitely not for the squemish.
TheаEdit and Work Out modes return in this version of DDR. Not surprisingly, Edit Mode allows you to create your own custom dance steps which can be saved to a memory card and Work Out mode keeps track of the amount of calories your game is burning. The game will include over one hundred minuts of new and licensed music, including videos of many of these songs. But Konami has yet to release any of the song titles.
Dance Dance Revolution Extreme is scheduled to ship in Fall 2004 with a playable version planned for E3.
