Walkthrough: Want to know how to burn up the track in Burnout 2? Here's the full scoop on how to be a Burnout 2 champion in this full walkthrough

Driving 101

Oncoming Traffic:

As soon as possible get on the wrong side of the road and stay there. Dodge all the cars and you should make it.

Near Misses:
Again, get on the wrong side of the road as soon as possible. Stay in between the two lanes and get as close as you can to the taxis without hitting them.

Drifting:
Drifting has got to be the easiest thing to do. When you turn, push the square button (brake) on each turn and you should easily get the gold.

Getting Air:
When "Getting Air" starts do a u-turn and drive till you hit the red wall. Do another u-turn and start from there. That should give you the speed you need to jump farther.

Boost Meter:
All you have to do is drive on the wrong side of the road, get near misses, and drift to fill it up.

Use the Boost:
Start driving on the wrong side of the road as soon as you can and hit your boost button. While doing that, get as many near misses and drifting as possible, but DO NOT crash. If you can do that without crashing you should get multiple boosts to grab the gold.

Congratulations, you graduated from Driving 101. Now off to the Championship.

Championship

Pacific Gate Grand Prix:
Use the Red Roadster for this race. Don't worry about your boost since you car already out-performs the others. Winning all gold unlocks "Face Off 1" and "The Run To The Sun."

Airport Terminal 3:

One of the easiest places to race. Just watch for the diesel on Lap 3.

88 Interchange:

When going on the jumps, make sure you kind of glance in front so you don't land on any cars and crash. There is a tiny shortcut in the second tunnel. Go through the second opening and back into the third, that will keep you from turning with the traffic.

Palm Bay Heights:
This one is tricky. All you have to do is watch the intersections. If you can do that your good to go.

Face Off 1:
Unlocks the the Hot Rod. Dont use your boost unless you really need to. He may get the monstor start, but he can't drive it. If you don't crash, you should be able to unlock this car with ease.

The Run To The Sun:

This is just a race, if you choose the red "Roadster" you should be good. Unlocks "Pursuit 1" and the "Winding Road Grand Prix."

Pursuit 1:
This is a fairly easy pursuit. Just hit the target car untill the bar runs out. Don't try to get in front of the car because that's a waist of time. If you are successful, you will unlock the "Cop Car."

Winding Road Grand Prix:
This may sound stupid, but choose the "Cop Car" for these races. Winning all gold unlocks "Face off 2" and the "Miracle Mile." Just for jokes and giggles, pushing "circle" turns on the cop sirens.

Sunrise Valley Downtown:
You must have your drifting down to win this race and all the others in this Grand Prix. Use your boost when you get on the highway. Don't use it downtown, unless you are truely confident in your drifting skills.

Interstate Loop:

Easy race, no reason you should not win this.

Airport Terminal 1 & 2:

Another easy race. Just watch out when you get to the airport loading area. Cars will be coming out of the intersection.

Palm Bay Marina:

Once again, another easy race. Just take a peak in front of you when you're drifting so you don't hit any cars.

Face Off 2:
Time to pull out the "Cop Car" again. This time your racing an "Oval Racer." At the beginning this guy gets a monstor start, but don't worry, he's easy to catch up to. Just don't crash on the last lap, as it will be hard to catch back up. If you win, you get the car.

The Miricle Mile:

Now your done with the "Cop Car." Time to test out the newly aquainted "Oval Racer." If you can drift, then this race should be bo problem. Just watch out for all the diesels and busses around corners. Unlocks "Pursuit 2" and "Roller Coaster Grand Prix."

Pursuit 2:
This is a little bit harder than the first one, but as long as you don't crash and do drift properly, you should be able to finish this with around one mile to spare. Unlocks the "Classic."

Roller Coaster Grand Prix:

This grand prix is all about drifting. If you can get that down, you should be good to go. Unlocks "Face Off 3" and "The Crystal Freeway."

Crystal Summit Peak:

Drift after drift after drift describes this race. If you have your drifting down, this should be an easy race. Just don't crash early or the lead car will gain a large lead and it will be really hard to catch up to. Also, the first left turn after the u-turn, drift wide because there is a car on the left lane that got me the first 2 times. DON'T USE YOUR BOOST!!

Sunrise Valley Downtown:
Exactly as above, have to drift to win this race. Not as much as "Crystal Summit Peak", but enough to where you can pull out a large lead. The last lap turn, take it narrow. It's the right turn right after the little jump. If you do decide to use your boost, don't use it downtown, save it for the highway.

Palm Bay Marina:

This is a little bit different then the first "Palm Bay Marina," but don't worry it should still be easy. Just watch the intersections when you get to the housing area.

Airport Terminal 1 & 2:

This is just like the first "Airport Terminal 1 & 2." The laps are a little longer and there is a tad bit more traffic. Just watch the intersections when you get to the plane loading and unloading area.

Big Surf Shores:

When you get to the jumps, I would recommend switch to the In-Car view (triangle) as it will be easier to tell if you're about to land in front of a car. You can change it back if you need to after the jumps. Also, watch out for the big intersection, if you cross it on the left side of the lanes, you should have no problem. Don't use your boost unless you really need to.

Face Off 3:
Dont use your boost at all in this face off. If you don't use your boost and race smart this should be a good race. When you get ahead of the car, try to keep your lead by racing more safely. Unlocks the "Japanese Muscle."

The Crystal Freeway:
This is harder than the first single races. Just be sure to watch your drifting in the mountains and try to take most of them wide if you can. Once you get out of the mountains the race should be pretty easy. Unlocks "Pursuit 3" and "Street Storm Grand Prix."

Pursuit 3:

This is a fairly easy pursuit. Once you get into the drifting area, it's not that hard to get in front of him. Once or if you get in front of him keep looking behind you (L1) to make sure he doesn't pass you. When he is behind you slow down and he'll run into you rather than you running into him. Makes it alot easy. Unlocks "Pursuit Mode" (in the main menu) and the "Gangster" car which by the way isn't that good of a car.

Street Storm Grand Prix:
You should choose either the newly "Japanese Muscle" or the old "Oval Racer." It really doesn't matter which one you pick, they both have the same stats. Unlocks "Custom Series Qualifier" and "Face Off 4."

Sunrise Valley Springs:
Dont let the looks fool you on this one. Follow the green signs and do some drifting. If you are coming up to a turn and are unsure which way to turn, look at your cars blinker.

88 Interchange:

This has got to be one of longest lapped race in the game. There is really no need to use your boost if you are in the lead. I finished with two perfect laps and won by around eight seconds without using any boost. Pretty easy race.

Big Surf Grove:

These are pretty short, but the AI doesn't really know how to race this map. I was able to crash six times and still come in first by a while. Don't use your boost unless you need to.

Palm Bay Heights:

Just keep the drifting up and watch the intersections and you should do fine. Don't use your boost unless you need to.

Crystal Summit Lake:

This race looks real familiar. Dont use your boost at all in this race. If you don't use your boost and race smart this should be a good race. When you get ahead of the lead car, try to keep your lead by racing more safely.

Airport Terminal 3
: Again, One of the easiest places to race. No reason why you shouldn't win this race.

Face Off 4:
This is a must win face off. If you win this, you get one of the best cars in the game that you will use the rest of the game. When you start, your opponent gets an early lead, but it's easy to catch back up. Drift properly and don't use your boost unless really needed. Unlocks the "Supercar."

Custom Series Qualifier:
Use your newly acquired car and race. The final lap turn, take it narrow. It's the right turn right after the little jump. If you do decide to use your boost, don't use it downtown, save it for the highway. Unlocks "Custom Series Championship" and "Custom Compact." When you are done, you see credits roll, but you still have yet to beat the game.

Congradulations! You have beaten "Championship" mode. Now off to the "Custom Series Championship."

Custom Series Championship:
These races are just repeats of the race stages except with faster cars. Same race concept still applies.

Speed Streak Grand Prix:

Use the Supercar and you should win without any problem. Unlocks "Pursuit 4," "Custom Sport," and "Split Second Grand Prix."

88 Interchange:

Welcome back. Again, there is really no need to use your boost if you are in the lead. I crashed three times in the last minute and still came back without any boost. Pretty easy race.

Crystal Summit Peak:

If you have your drifting down, this should be an easy race. Just don't crash early or the lead car will gain a large lead and it will be really hard to catch up to. DON'T USE YOUR BOOST!!

Ocean Sprint:

This is the same race as "Pursuit 1" in case your wondering. Use the same tactics as you would in pursuit, but this get in front of the lead car and don't let them catch back up. Racing safely and smart will garuntee a win.

Sunrise Valley Springs:
Dont let the looks fool you on this one. Follow the green signs and do some drifting. If you are coming up to a turn and are unsure which way to turn, look at your cars blinker.

Pursuit 4:
This is another easy pursuit, but just because you know the area, doesn't mean you will win. Play smart, do good drifting, and get in front of the car. Should win with no problem. Unlocks "Custom SUV."

Split Second Grand Prix:
Stick with the Supercar. Unlocks "Pursuit 5," "Custom Coupe," and "Point of Impact Grand Prix."

Palm Bay Marina:

Once again, another easy race. Just take a peak in front of you when you're drifting so you don't hit any cars.

Interstate Loop:

Easy race, no reason you should not win this.

Big Surf Shores:

When you get to the jumps, I would recommend switch to the In-Car view (triangle) as it will be easier to tell if your about to land in front of a car. You can change it back if you need to after the jumps. Also, watch out for the big intersection, if you cross it on the left side of the lanes, you should have no problem. Don't use your boost unless you really need to.

Airport Terminal 3:
Again, One of the easiest places to race. No reason why you shouldn't win this race.

Heartbreak Hills:

This should look familiar. "Pursuit 2" anyone? Drift good and this one should be in the bag.

Pursuit 5:
Again, another fairly easy pursuit. Take the inside turns and you should be able to make it with around two miles to spare. Unlocks "Custom Truck."

Point of Impact Grand Prix:

Again, stick with the Supercar.

Crystal Summit Peak:

If you have your drifting down, this should be an easy race. Just don't crash early or the lead car will gain a large lead and it will be really hard to catch up to. DON'T USE YOUR BOOST!!

Freeway Dash:

This should be another familiar one. "Pursuit 3" is basically what it is. Pull out your drifting skills and there ya go.

Sunrise Valley Downtown:
Have to drift to win this race. Not as much as "Crystal Summit Peak", but enough to where you can pull out a large lead. The final lap turn, take it narrow. It's the right turn right after the little jump. If you do decide to use your boost, don't use it downtown, save it for the highway.

Big Surf Grove:

Palm Bay Marina:

Once again, another easy race. Just take a peak in front of you when you're drifting so you don't hit any cars.

Airport Terminal 1 & 2:

This is just like the other "Airport Terminal 1 & 2." The laps are a little longer and there is a tad bit more traffic. Just watch the intersections when you get to the plane loading and unloading area.

Pursuit 6:

All I have to say is "Wow!" I stopped this car in 26.150 seconds. I rammed him into another car and he flipped over the side beam into the ocean. LoL. Unlocks the "Custom Muscle."

Heart Attack Grand Prix:

Again, use the Supercar.

Big Surf Shores:

Again, when you get to the jumps, I would recommend switch to the In-Car view as it will be easier to tell if your about to land in front of a car. You can change it back if you need to after the jumps. Also, watch out for the big intersection, if you cross it on the left side of the lanes, you should have no problem. Don't use your boost unless you really need to.

Palm Bay Heights:
Just keep the drifting up and watch the intersections and you should do fine. Don't use your boost unless you need to.

88 Interchange:

Welcome back. Again, there is really no need to use your boost if you are in the lead. Pretty easy race.

Heartbreak Hills:
Drift good and this one should be in the bag.

Sunrise Valley Springs:
Dont let the looks fool you on this one. Follow the signs and do some drifting. If you are coming up to a turn and are unsure which way to turn, look at your cars blinker.

Crystal Summit Lake:

This should remind you of "Face Off 3." If you don't use your boost and race smart this should be a good race.

Airport Terminal 3:

And once again, one of the easiest places to race. No reason why you shouldn't win this race.

Congrats! You have just beaten the "Custom Series Championship." Now you can feel happy for yourself.
