News: "The Ultimate Racing Simulator" is coming to the PS2. We have the first screens as well.
Codemasters announced today that they are bringing an "advanced" version of TOCA Race Driver 2 to the PlayStation 2 this October.
As far as these advancements go, Codemasters has said that the PS2 version willаhave brand new content including a new circuit, Cataluyna, and an expanded Championship structure with "99 additional car and track combinations". The PS2 versionаwill alsoаinclude a new difficulty setting dubbedа"Pro-Sim mode" that Codemasters describes as "super hardcore". Finally, PS2 owners will be able to saveаreplays soаplayers can view their greatest victories again and again.
Codemasters has also said that the PlayStation 2 version will be built fromаscratch by the TOCA team. They are also boasting that the game will run at a "silky 60 frames per second" and feature 21 cars on the track at the same time. And they even supplied a features list.
