News: New release dates for Worms 3D Xbox and Worms: Forts Under Siege.
Before Acclaim went belly up, they and Sega co-published the last Worms title, Worms 3D for the PS2 and GameCube. So for the next Worms titles, Sega has decided to soldier on alone and announced Worms 3D for the Xbox and Worms: Forts Under Siege for the Xbox and PS2, all due March 1.
Worms 3D for the Xbox will add Xbox Live play and little else in the way of extras. If you must know more, Chris reviewed the PS2 version last year.
Worms: Forts Under Siege will also feature Xbox Live play and Sega has provided us with a summary of some of the games new features:
"Worms: Forts Under Siege ratchets the strategy of the series' gameplay up a notch, allowing players to build huge fortifications to defend against opponent attacks. This new take on the Worms formula will allow players to join Egyptian tribes, participate in Greco-Roman sieges, battle with Oriental Samurai, and fight alongside King Arthur's Medieval Knights."
All three titles will retail for $19.99.
