Accessories: How can Spider-Man provide memory for my Playstation games, but never remember when he has a date with Mary Jane?

As any PlayStation gamer should already know, memory cards are vital these days. Playing games without one is almost unheard of as the systems requires you to continually save your progress. So, it's a fact that you'll need at least one memory card to play through most any title. However as each gamer's PlayStation videogame library expands, bytes on their memory card disappear with game after game eating up space. Plus, most people are unwilling to get rid of any old files a lot of times, thinking УOh I'll get back to that game soon.Ф Whether that actually happens or not remains to be seen, but what I can tell you is that after some time more than one memory card becomes somewhat of a must. Since PlayStation doesn't benefit from a built in hard drive like the Xbox and sports games will take up oodles of space in a single block when tracking a season, multiple cards seem to be the only available solution. At $15 a pop though, it's usually tough to break down and buy another.

Lucky enough for us though, superheroes have arrived to help out with the situation. Well, sort of. Along with its license to produce accessories for all of the next-generation consoles of the market, Naki has taken into consideration those still riding the waves of PlayStation. The company has delivered on two fronts: cheap and affordable pricing, and extremely fashionable in design.

Ultimate Spider-Man & X-Men Decorated Memory Cards

The first half of Marvel memory cards available from Naki function and almost look exactly the same as the more mainstream cards out there. However there are two minor differences that set these card sets ahead of the rest. While it depends on what type of person you are, most people will notice the inclusion of Ultimate Spider-Man and Ultimate X-Men artwork on the memory cards before realizing that the price tag is significantly lower than the ordinary cards out there. Some may not be familiar with the Ultimate series from Marvel, but it's a new set of comics that premiered with Ultimate Spider-Man in 2000, and later the X-Men benefited from the same great retooling. This allowed writers to reinvent the superheroes from the start allowing new readers to learn about the original plots. It also cleared any worry about any distorted storylines that hampered the comic book collection over the last couple of years. So with fresh writing comes great artwork taken from the new comic series, and now it's available on your PlayStation cards making them look somewhat more unique look and classy way to tell them apart.

Spider-Man 3D Action Hero Memory Cards

Standing apart even more than the Ultimate Memory Cards is the Spider-Man 3D Action Hero designs. Here, we are given three figures, each with different posses and designs. On top of each memory card lies original old Spider-Man, the likes of Venom with his enormous tongue hanging out, and Spider-Man wearing his black symbiote costume. All of them look very cool, but I still can't figure out why Spider-Man's right leg is up in the air and bent for. Nevertheless, don't be surprised if you find your friends gasping and the words УawesomeФ to follow when showing them.

Bottom Line

Sure, third party memory cards have been more prone to accidents as shown by history. Mismanagement of files or corrupt memory only cause a lot of frustration, especially when playing the last leg of a ridiculously hard RPG and then not being able to back up a saved game. However, no such problem has yet to result in one of these, but then again, that doesn't totally keep it out of the woods. All the same, both sets of cards function just like the standard first party memory card without problems thus far. The 3D Action Hero memory cards are cool looking, but at $15 apiece it won't attract those seeking great value. Thankfully the Ultimate Marvel memory cards do the trick with a more reasonable price and still packing a kick of Ultimate Marvel art. Either way Naki's got all the comic book fans pretty much covered!
