News: Little Mac sticks and moves onto EA's Fight Night Round 2.
A few weeks back EA revealed that the Nintendo All-Stars would be joining NBA Street V3. With today's new announcement it looks like Little Mac will be joining them.
Little Mac was the star of the classic NES and Super NES Punch-Out!! series. So to help beef up the GameCube rendition of Fight Night Round 2, Little and Super Punch-Out!! will be unlockable bonuses in the game.
УWe grew up as fans of the Punch-Out!! series that delivered hands-down, the best boxing gaming experience of its time,Ф said Kudo Tsunoda, executive producer, EA Chicago. УNow we're offering Nintendo GameCube gamers double the boxing excitement with one of the best sports titles of the past as well as the most realistic and knuckle-clenching boxing game of today with Super Punch-Out!! and EA SPORTS Fight Night Round 2. This is the ultimate match-up.Ф
УThe Punch-Out!! series defined boxing video games,Ф says George Harrison, Nintendo of America's senior vice president of marketing and corporate communications. УWe have a new contender in the ring that's changing the face of boxing games. What better way to introduce our Nintendo gamers to EA SPORTS Fight Night Round 2 than allowing gamers to experience two boxing franchises that have had the most impact in this sports genre from the beginning of boxing games to now.Ф
In addition to Super Punch-Out!!, Little Mac will be an unlockable character which gamers will be able to pit against all 30 of Fight Night 2's fighters. There's no word yet on what finger gymnastics players will have to go through to unlock these (very cool) bonuses.
