News: A game based on Tim Burton's adaptation of the classic book is coming to consoles.
Take Two's 2K Games is continuing their development of new titles and new genres as they have announced Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is coming to consoles and the GBA this summer. High Voltage Software is handling the console versions and Digital Eclipse will be creating the GBA edition.
Based on Tim Burton's new movie adaptation and Roald Dahl's original book, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory will put players in control of Charlie as he tries to fix the Factory. The rotten children have destroyed the Factory and it's up to Charlie to bring it back to normal by solving puzzles, helping Oompa-Loompas and using experimental candy to gain superpowers (think the Fizzy Lifting Drink for flight).
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory will ship in July 2005 for the PS2, Xbox, GameCube and the GBA. We'll have more when we find our Golden Ticket.
