News: Jack Slate is back, again, since Dead to Rights II shipped yesterday.

One day after Dead to Rights II shipped for the PS2 and Xbox, Namco has announced that supercop Jack Slate and his dog Shadow are coming to the PSP. Dead to Rights: Reckoning is apparently pretty far along and should be in stores this May.

This time Jack has been tapped to track down an informant who has been kidnapped during an investigation of a major crime lord. Reckoning is said to give the PSP a workout as it will have "advanced 3D graphics, surround audio design, and an advanced camera system that utilizes the handheld's widescreen display." At least according to Namco.

"Dead to Rights: Reckoning accurately translates the adrenaline-soaked combat of best-selling action series, and adds several new features that take advantage of the PSP hardware," said Pierre Roux, Executive Producer at Namco Hometek. "The game's unique ranged and melee fighting engine and stylish disarms are sure to make it one of the most action-packed games on the PSP when it is released this May."

Finally, look for a wireless multiplayer deathmatch mode in Jack Slate's PSP future. A future the Gaming Target crystal ball will keep a very close eye on.
