News: But why is the portable rum gone?

Buena Vista Games has announced that the Pirates of the Caribbean will set sail on the PSP and DS in time for the next movie's July 2006 opening.

Titled Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, after the second movie in the series, the game will feature Captain Jack Sparrow, Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann searching for the famed Dead Man's Chest.

All three will be playable in both versions of the game and, well that's all we really know right now.

The PSP version will be developed by Amaze Studios and the DS game is being handled by Griptonite Games.

Buena Vista also announced that Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest will appear on next-gen consoles sometime "in the future" and that your favorite studio and mine, Eurocom, will be handling the development duties.
