News: Majesco snaps up the Teen Titans license and promises games this year and next year.
Majesco has announced that they are going to publish games based on Cartoon Network's popular show Teen Titans. The games will be developed by A2M with the Game Boy Advance version coming out sometime in 2005 and the GameCube, PS2 and Xbox versions coming out sometime in 2006.
"The Teen Titans super heroes lend themselves to being strong videogame characters with their action and humor filled adventures," said Jason Hall, senior vice president of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. "We look forward to working with Majesco on quality games that will appeal to action adventure players, as well as the fan base of the television series and the comic books."
Like the old Ninja Turtles game for the NES, players will be able to switch Titans (Robin, Starfire, Beast Boy, Cyborg and Raven) on the fly to use their specialized skills. These skills will come in handy as the Titans square off against Slade, Overload, Jinx, Gizmo, and Mammoth.
I'm sure we'll learn more about the Titans adventures as E3 nears.
