News: The Max Payne makers have something new up their sleeves.

Remedy Entertainment, the team behind the very popular Max Payne series, has announced that their latest project will be unveiled at E3 this year. And guess what, it's not Max Payne 3.

"We're taking the graphics to the next level, pushing the envelope on the visuals and thus co-operation with ATI has been excellent." comments Markus Mфki, Remedy's Development Director.

These next level graphics will be on display in the theater at the ATI booth. The game is also being created exclusively from money out of Remedy's pocket. So they have all the power when it comes to creative decisions.

"For a small, independent developer we are in a rare position of being able to maintain our own vision of what a perfect game is about. We are uncompromising and passionate about our work," says Petri Jфrvilehto, Lead Game Designer. "Our previous games have been successful, gamers have come to expect a lot from us, so there is a lot of positive pressure as well. We are thrilled to show what we have been up to since the Max Payne games."

The game has no title, no release date and only the vague phrase "next-generation of consoles" to denote what platform it will appear on. In fact, one of the only people to have seen it appears to be ATI executives:

"When we previewed the title at Game Developers Conference, we were blown away by its advanced graphics technologies. It's going to be one of the most talked about titles at this year's E3!" says Michael Smith worldwide developer relations manager at ATI.
