News: It's a fake, but Nintendo needs to see this.

Normally I shy away from obvious fakes and mock-ups of questionable parentage, but this is a serious exception.

Engadget has gotten hold of two pictures that are supposedly of a portable GameCube, uncreatively dubbed the Nintendo GameCube Advance. Check it out, it's worth it and I can wait.

It's an obvious fake as Nintendo has better security than Area 51 when it comes to unreleased product. Oh, and did you notice there aren't any L and R buttons? And when has Nintendo released any kind of multi-function device?

But Nintendo has always said that they want to extend the life of the GameCube beyond that of a traditional console. Making this machine a reality is the best way to go about that.

With the tiny insides of the GameCube on display in this lik-sang article it looks at least possible.

Please Nintendo, make this happen. Look at the comments in the original article, this is the ultimate PSP Killer.

I would buy two and I know you (all of you) would too.
