Natsume is making another round with their perennial farming simulation, this time with a little something different in the formula. Building off of the success of last year's HM: A Wonderful Life and the series in general, Another Wonderful Life will return players to the farm when it releases in July. However, unlike A Wonderful Life, Another Wonderful Life will put you in a lady's shoes.

Adding more to the game's original formula, Harvest Moon: Another Wonderful Life will provide a story told across six chapters. These chapters will represent the different stages of your character's life and allow you to, literally, live a Wonderful Life. Each chapter will reflect the triumphs and tribulations of the previous chapters of your life, pulling the game into one large story that tells your complete biography.

In addition to developing and maintaining a farm, Another Wonderful Life will give you the unique opportunity to find yourself a husband. Taking a cue from some of the bizarrely addictive dating simulations that you can find around the world, Harvest Moon: Another Wonderful Life will allow you to court one of the town's bachelors. I picture the experience as being a family friendly version of the relationships in Fable, but we will have to wait and see.

The farming experience in Harvest Moon: Another Wonderful Life will again be a satisfying helping of livestock, harvesting crops, and cultivation. Are you a little bit lost on that last item? HM:AWL will allow you to cross your various crops into one super vegetable. This is just one more dynamic to compliment the already hardy farming routine. Of course, it never hurts that Another Wonderful Life will be able to link up with the upcoming Harvest Moon: More Friends of Mineral Town (GBA) to give you even more gaming pleasure.

Final Thoughts
The Harvest Moon Franchise has met with surprising success given the atypical content of the role-playing games. It took American gamers a little bit longer to catch onto the micro-managing phenominon that was (locally) made popular by The Sims. However, it was games like Harvest Moon that really taught us how to get down-and-dirty with going through day-to-day life with a virtual character. The relationship dynamic should be a fresh enough element to help even the most farmed-out of game players get back to the Harvest.
