News: Rockstar's next project comes straight out of the schoolyard.
This morning Rockstar announced their next project, Bully, for the PS2 and Xbox. Bully will be released this October and will be unveiled behind closed doors at E3. For now all we really have is a short synopsis:
As a troublesome schoolboy, you'll laugh and cringe as you stand up to bullies, get picked on by teachers, play pranks on malicious kids, win or lose the girl, and ultimately learn to navigate the obstacles of the fictitious reform school, Bullworth Academy.
Rockstar's big dogs are obviously very excited:
"We are really excited about the first title to be developed by our Rockstar Vancouver studio," said Sam Houser, President of Rockstar Games. "We fought hard to keep this title under wraps for ages and I am thrilled that we can finally unveil it to people at E3."
Me, I think I can hear the "concerned parents" and scumbag lawyers foaming at the mouth already. I don't think they'll take too kindly to the phrase "brutally funny" being used to describe schoolyard bullying.
I guess we'll find out more at E3.
