News: Saint's Row and The Outfit to be exact.
A few weeks back, THQ announced that Volition and Relic, two internal THQ studios, were working on secret Xbox 360 projects. With the Xbox 360 finally revealed, THQ pulled the curtain back on those projects.
The first, Saint's Row, will be developed by Volition and was first seen on the Xbox 360 MTV unveiling. Saint's Row is a GTA-styled gangland war through the city of Still Water. Or as THQ puts it:
Saint's Row sets the player as a member of the Third Street Saints, a gang trying desperately to take back the streets from three rival gangs that hold the city.
The second game, The Outfit, is yet another WWII shooter that this time places players in control of three separate squads. Again from THQ:
The Outfit allows players the option to choose from three playable squad leader personalities, each with their own specific skills and abilities. With their squad leaders, players will guide two squads of battle-forged soldiers on missions ranging from reconnaissance-and-rescue to search-and-destroy across immensely destructible battlefields. Players can switch between squads at any time and can strategically use squads separately, in tandem or as one super-unit. By engaging in combat with the enemy, players will earn action points that can be used to upgrade their arsenal, order in tanks and many other vehicles, build machinegun nests and anti-tank emplacements or call for air or artillery strikes.
The Outfit will include 12 single player missions and online co-op and deathmatch play.
Both titles will be unveiled further at E3 and are scheduled for a late 2005 release.
