News: Konami announces Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence.
Doing for Metal Gear Solid 3 what they've already done for Metal Gear Solid 2, Konami announced Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence today.
Subsistence will be available only on the PS2 on some unknown release date.
Subsistence brings Metal Gear online for the first time giving players the chance to take part in Team Battle and Snake and Enemy modes. Team Battle is pretty self-explanatory, but Snake and Enemy is two player only and gives one player Snake and a mission and the other player a counter-agent and the means to stop Snake.
The game will also include the original Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake. Metal Gear 2 has never been released in America before and it's about time.
Rounding out Subsistence will be:
An expanded "Snake vs. Monkey" mode: staring Snake and the beloved Ape Escape monkeys
Duel Mode: a mode that allows gamers to replay all boss battles
Demo Theater: where gamers can alter Snake's face paint and camouflage, and view movies starring their own unique Snake character
Duel Mode and Demo Theater will only be available to those who finish the game.
We'll have more on Subsistence (which I constantly mistyped as Substance) very soon.
