News: The Stargaters are coming to America
After being in development for what seems like forever, someone has finally picked up Stargate SG-1: The Alliance for North American distribution. Namco is that publisher and they've revealed that the game will be available for the PS2, Xbox and PC in November.
The Alliance will be a squad based shooter that allows one to four players to take on the roles of the SG-1 team (General O'Neill, Teal'C, Colonel Carter and Daniel) in cooperative and competetive modes including Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Last Man Standing, Enslave and Jaffa.
Meanwhile, JoWood (the UK publisher) has announced that they have enlisted the talents of the show's cast (Richard Dean Anderson, Michael Shanks, Amanda Tapping, and Christopher Judge) to provide their voices for the game.
The fun doesn't stop there as the game will also include "downloadable content for future updates, as well as a robust map editor that will let players create and share their own custom maps with other online players."
We'll have more on Stargate soon.
