Call of Cthulhu: Destiny's End

Written by John Scalzo  on July 13, 2005

News: Another one bites the dust...

Another video game company has gone bankrupt. Hip Interactive, a relatively young company who jumped into publishing last year with Stolen has announced they must liquidate all of their assets. The problem stemmed from the fact that Hip doesn't have enough money to pay off their loans as they come due.

Hip had several highly anticipated titles lined up for late 2005 and into 2006. George Romero's City of the Dead, the PC title Ghost Wars, and Call of Cthulhu Destiny's End were all on Hip's publishing block.

The good news is that Hip Interactive Europe has announced that they are not bankrupt and that all of those games will be completed on time and on their dime.

Now the trick is waiting to see who picks up the NA publishing rights.

Finally, we at Gaming Target wish good luck to anyone who may have lost their job because of Hip's financial troubles.
